what s wrong vista dns

What's wrong with Vista & DNS?

Running Vista Beta 2..
So every once in a while (sometimes fairly often), I'll get page cannot be displayed in Firefox.
Go to dos, ping the host - Cannot Find host.
ipconfig /flushdns fixes it.At least for a while.
Connection is through a DSL line through a netgear router. Never had this issue previously on XP.
Any
ideas?
Thanks.

Im not sure why but I had a similar problem..
2 PCs on my LAN, The XP one shows my (dynamic IP based) website as the correct IP, the Vista PC still shows the "Old" IP.. no amount of ipconfig /flushdns would help either.
I still cannot figure out why this happened to the Vista box.

I'm having much the same trouble! I can't surf the internet. If I feed in numbers, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, instead of http://, I can connect. I've been over ever setting with the people at the local computer shop, and with my ISP, nothing helps, except to confirm the problem. My Vista connects, but can communicate. Oddly enough, the unit works Ok on some ISPs, but not on others. It's like a "piece of the puzzle" wasn't included in the box. If _anyone_ has any idea what is happening, and what could be done, _please_ let me know so I can return this borrowed PC and get back on my own PC. -- http://folding.stanford.edu

I have used both DCHP and static IPs but no luck. The weird thing is that I can hit other PCs on my LAN and there shares. And I can get to the admin home page on the router.
